Meet Jarlentji: Songwriter, singer and producer who combines R&B with i.a. Electronic, Pop and Hip-hop and creates her own unique sound. Jarlentji is all about banging beats, dynamics and candid lyrics. There's no room for inside the box thinking; it's all about finding a connection between different music genres and subjects.
Inspired by Kanye West, Michael Jackson, FKA Twigs and Beyoncé among others, Jarlentji is on her way to create her own path within the music industry as a multi-disciplined artist. She makes music in both Dutch and English. Her ability to fuse different styles is no coincidence as her father is a fusion musician and drummer and has had a great influence on her musical development.
Her lyrics are introspective and personal, in which she discusses her own life experiences in f.e. love and mental health, and uses philosophical questions about human existence as a source of inspiration. This results in both confidence-boosting songs that give the listener strength, as vulnerable sad songs that struck a chord.
Jarlentji has released a number of works: 'EP1', where she experiments with electronic genres, 'Schaduw', an EP about weaknesses, and singles like 'Alleen Maar Hier and 'Free Fall''. Her music has already been played on FunX.
Live Jarlentji performs with a band. In collaboration with an arranger, she has completely converted her songs into extensive arrangements, taking her characteristic electronic sound to a new dimension with her live band. This year she will join Popronde, a Dutch national musical festival that travels throughout the whole country.
She has performed live at Dauwpop, MuseumNacht and Green Vibrations Festival, among others.

Bij Jarlentji draait het om banging beats, dynamiek en openhartige lyrics. Niet in kaders denken, maar verschillende muziekgenres en onderwerpen met elkaar verbinden.
Geïnspireerd door o.a. FKA Twigs, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson en Kanye West, baant ze als multi-gedisciplineerde artiest haar eigen weg binnen de muziekindustrie. Ze maakt muziek in zowel het Nederlands als Engels. Haar vermogen om verschillende stijlen te fuseren komt niet uit de lucht vallen, aangezien haar vader fusion muzikant en drummer is en een grote invloed heeft gehad op haar muzikale ontwikkeling.
Haar teksten zijn introspectief en persoonlijk, waarbij ze eigen levenservaringen in o.a. de liefde en mentale gezondheid aankaart en filosofische vraagstukken over het bestaan als inspiratiebron gebruikt. Dit resulteert in zowel confidence-boosting songs die kracht geven, als kwetsbare sad songs die een gevoelige snaar raken.
Jarlentji heeft een aantal werken uitgebracht: 'EP1', waarbij ze experimenteert met elektronische genres, 'Schaduw', een EP over zwakheden, en singles als 'Alleen Maar Hier' en 'Free Fall'. Haar muziek werd al gedraaid op FunX.
Live treed Jarlentji op met een band. In samenwerking met een arrangeur heeft ze haar nummers volledig omgebouwd tot uitgebreide arrangementen waarbij haar karakteristieke elektronische sound een nieuwe dimensie krijgt met haar live band. Jarlentji is echter ook te boeken met DJ.
